Bangalore: 9-year-old girl who fell into drain hole found dead

The body of the 9-year-old who was reported to have slipped and fallen into a drain hole in Bangalore early this week has been found. The corpse was recovered from the Madiwala lake - a water body where most of Bangalore's storm water drains into. 

After reports of a 9-year-old girl, Geetha Lakshmi, slipping into a drain water through an opening in the pavement surfaced, an 8-member team from Natural Disaster Response Force carried out massive operations to find the minor girl.

According to reports, the body has been found in a bad state and has been taken to a hospital in the vicinity of the lake for post mortem.
