Prime Minister Narendra Modi at BJP's Parliamentary Party meet directed all the MPs, ministers and workers to spend 72 hours in an area assigned to them by the party. Sources said that BJP leaders and workers would connect with all the educational institutions around the area assigned by the party as part of the drive thereby connecting the party with the new India. Sources in the BJP said that this drive will be completed before their government formation day, May 26. Sources also said that BJP members, including ministers, have also been advised by the Prime Minister to give suggestions to improve the functioning of the party and government before May 26.

PM Modi, in his speech, also made it clear that the next month would be dedicated to Dr BR Ambedkar. He said that between April 6 and 14, BJP would organise social functions in the memory of Ambedkar through the country. April 6 is the party's foundation day and April 14 is Ambedkar's birth anniversary. In order to connect with the social constituency every BJP MP will also participate in a sanitation drive which will be organised around a polling station connecting the social constituency with the electoral grid. It is not without significance that after the Rohith Vemulla controversy, BJP has been extremely careful when it comes to any policy response on the Dalit issue and the legacy of Ambedkar.

The Prime Minister also urged party workers to campaign to popularise Diji Dhan and the BHIM app, which Modi described as a new currency. He said that the use of the BHIM app would save small enterprises from money lenders and would act as a catalyst for social transformation at the lowest level.

BJP has also decided to organise massive rallies across the country on Ambedkar's birthday with his photographs. Sources said that every part of the organisation would be exercised to make these rallies successful.

Sources said that Prime Minister said in the meeting that the perception about the government in the country was changing. The PM said, "Earlier, the people felt that the government is doing something but now they say that it is a performing government."

Party president Amit Shah also addressed the BJP Parliamentary party. He said that the recent elections had released the democracy from the shackles of appeasement, nepotism and casteism. He said that the result of 2017 should not make BJP complacent and they should start preparing for 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

BJP also passed a resolution thanking people for giving them a good mandate. The resolution also took a dig at the Opposition as it resolution stated that they should understand the real message of the verdict and be constructive in their approach. The Parliamentary party resolution also thanked Narendra Modi and Amit Shah for their leadership. The resolution stated that though numbers were required to form a government but it was actually run through consensus and that BJP was committed to that principle. The PM also thanked for his surgical strike initiative and demonetization move.
