At least 15 killed in road accident in Madhya Pradesh

At least 15 people were killed and five others got injured after a tractor trolley rammed into a jeep in Madhya Pradesh's Morena on Thursday. 12 people died on the spot when the accident happened around 6 AM on Thursday morning. 

The injured are being treated in a nearby hospital. Three people died in the hospital. 

According to reports, the people travelling by jeep were going for a family condolence meet when the accident took place at Ganjrampur, 4 kms from Morena. All the dead people were from Gwalior district who were going to Ghurgan village. Police have rushed to the spot and have launched probe to understand the reason behind the accident. 

Morena Superintendent of Police Amit Sanghi told PTI that  driver of the tractor-trolley, carrying sand mined illegally from the National Chambal Sanctuary, fled the spot after the accident.
