When AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi shut down an ISIS sympathiser on Twitter

On Wednesday, Hyderabad Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi took on an ISIS sympathiser on social media. The ISIS sympathiser who tweeted from the Twitter handle 'abotalout' told Owaisi to shut up and that ISIS would invade India soon. Owaisi is also the chief of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen.

When Deccan Chronicle contacted Owaisi, he told the daily, "It is for the Almighty to decide who goes to heaven or hell. These IS murderers have no right to decide my final destination.” He also added that Muslim scholars had declared ISIS as “Khawrij” (rebels of Islam) so they had no right to speak about Islam.

Owaisi has not lodged police complaint as he didn't receive any further threats from that handle. An intelligence officer told the daily that such threats were expected as Owaisi was known for his anti-ISIS stand.
