According to a secret note prepared by agencies, Resham Singh Babbar of Babbar Khalsa – Germany has mobilised Sikhs from over 20 countries, including USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Kenya.
Sikh separatist groups will raise the bogey of 'Khalistan' in a big way to radicalise youths during a two-day convention in UK starting from Saturday, central security agencies have warned the government suggesting that it take effective counter measures at a diplomatic level.
According to a secret note prepared by agencies, Resham Singh Babbar of Babbar Khalsa – Germany has mobilised Sikhs from over 20 countries, including USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Kenya.
What has left the security agencies more worried is that the secret note claims that the convention will raise the issue of alleged 'desecration of Guru Granth Sahib' in a big way and use it to push the agenda of a 'Sikh nation'.
"This can be really dangerous as Punjab has not yet got over the episode and the Sikh diaspora is very concerned about the incidents and has a direct connect with Punjab," sources said adding that a meeting by these outfits was organised in Birmingham, UK on October 18 with the similar aim to radicalise people and create anti-India propaganda on international platform.
"The gathering was coordinated by Joga Singh, Kuldeep Singh Chaheru and Lavshinder Singh Dalwal. Invitation for the convention were sent to different separatists groups in 27 countries," the official added.
"Resham Singh and various other Sikh groups from different countries are making efforts to mobilise Sikhs in their respective countries to attend the proposed convention. Efforts are also being made to garner maximum support for the proposed anti-India demonstration in front of the UN Human Rights Commission in Geneva," the detailed note says.
For its nefarious designs, Resham Singh, also the chief of operations of Babbar Khalsa in India, is closely working with Pakistan-based terrorist groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Khalistan Zindabad force and getting financial and logistical support from Pakistan's ISI.
As early as in late September, agencies had informed Centre that the ISI in first week of September held a meeting with Pakistan-based terrorist groups including LeT, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Babbar Khalsa and Khalistan Zindabad Force.
Khalistan Zindabad Force chief Ranjeet Singh alias Neeta said to be working closely with Pak ISI to carry out terror attacks in Punjab. Neeta, Intelligence input had said, provided two months of language training to LeT's Fidayeens near Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan.
