Seems like BJP is trying to do a Congress!  According to a report published in The Indian Express, in a bid to honour former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee,  Rajasthan government has announced to rename all Rajiv Gandhi Seva Kendra and Jan Suvidha Kendra in the state to Atal Seva and Suvidha Kendra respectively.

Keeping in mind Vajpayee's 90th birthday and the recently announced Bharat Ratna for the BJP leader, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje anounced her decision on Wednesday. This move was being planned for long, but the notification was finally issued on December 24. According to reports, there are 33 Jan Suvidha Kendra, 245 Seva Kendra at panchayat samitis and 9000 Seva kendra in gram panchayats named after Rajiv Gandhi, all of which will undergo the renaming process.

Expectedly Congress is not amused. Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee Chief, Sachin Pilot calls this move by the Rajasthan Government as 'narrow-minded'. In an interview to The Indian Express, Pilot said, "If they really wanted to pay a tribute to their leader they should have started something new in his name and not renamed the existing centers." The BJP in response has said that the Congress made a mistake by naming all schemes after Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi which is partial according to them . Hence, to highlight work of other tall leaders as well, this directive has been passed according to BJP workers.
