AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday took a dig at BJP's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi for dodging his invite for an open debate on issues facing the city, saying she was running away from the challenge.

"Why kiran ji running away from debate? She is busy but surely she can take out 2 hrs from busy schedule. Ppl want 2 know her stand on issues (sic)," the Aam Aadmi Party leader said in a series of tweets.

Bedi had retorted to the AAP chief's invite terming it as "drama" and saying that she puts delivery over debate that prompted further response from him.

"Does it mean delivery before elections, debate after elections? We want debate before and delivery later," Kejriwal tweeted.

In another tweet, he wrote, "Kiran ji saying she wud debate after elections in Assembly. She refuses to debate before elections saying she believes in delivery." Congress' Campaign Committee Chief Ajay Maken yesterday said that he was ready for a "structured debate" with leaders of rival political parties ahead of the Delhi Assembly polls.
