Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief, Arvind Kejriwal, on Friday evening once again had to face the wrath of an unidentified person, who attacked him while he was campaigning.

AAP volunteers immediately pounced on Kejriwal's attacker and overpowered him. Soon after the AAP chief urged his followers not to resort to violence as that was not what AAP stands for.

"Remember what Gandhiji had said. We need to follow the philosophy as said by him, even if you get one slap on one side of your cheek, then offer the other one," Kejriwal said.

He asked agitated supporters and volunteers of AAP not to resort to violence in any manner.

"If anyone from us involve in brawl or fighting with anyone then our movement will see its end right away," Kejriwal added.

Later on AAP chief also wrote on twitter where he tweeted "someone hit me hard on my neck jst now. This kind of violent reaction is expected of them. It only shows their true character n desperation."

Kejriwal once again reiterated to his supporters through his tweet that they should never use violence as a means to seek justice.

"If we ever become violent, the movement wud be finished. So, pl pl pl, in future, if anyone hits us including me, we shud be nice to him," Kejriwal said in his tweet.

Kejriwal and his fellow partymen have all come under attack during electioneering process where several unidentified men have attacked them by either smearing with ink or throwing ink aimed at them. Just before this incident, Kejriwal and his colleagues were recently attacked with ink when they were in Varanasi.
