Arvind Kejriwal blames Congress and BJP for his government's fall

Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) tried to topple his government in Delhi as they were scared of being thrown out.

He also said voters are fed up with both national parties for failing to provide basic services ranging from clean drinking water to safer streets for women.

Kejriwal appealed to the masses to vote for his party in the general election during his road show in Delhi.

"Keeping in view the security of women, the chief minister sat on a hunger strike. One of our politicians, Rakhi Birla (former Delhi minister) used to be awake for many nights to take effective steps of the security of women. We worked a lot while our government was in power. Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress drove us out because they were scared and they decided that they will not allow our government to rule because if we would have ruled for a longer period, both parties would have been thrown out of the capital by people," said Kejriwal.

Kejriwal was followed by a large numbers of supporters and workers as he moved through the streets in the city.
