BCCI Vice President and BJP leader Arun Jaitley on Saturday spoke up ahead of the special board meeting, saying that a solution is expected within the next 24 hours.

The BCCI members have conveyed to N Srinivasan that if he does not steps down, then all members will resign.

"Wait for a day and you will hear something significant today," Jaitley said when asked if after the resignation of board treasurer Ajay Shirke and secretary Sanjay Jagdale, all five BCCI vice presidents may step down to mount pressure on Srinivasan.

TV channel reports quote sources who say many BCCI members may resign either on Saturday or in the next few days if Srinivasan refuses to quit.

The BCCI president's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan has been arrested for his alleged involvement in betting. The BCCI has five vice presidents - Arun Jaitley, Shivlal Yadav, Chitrak Mitra, Niranjan Shah and Sudhir Dabir. While Mitra ruled out his resignation, sources say Dabir may step down soon.

The anti-Srinivasan camp is led by Jaitley, IPL Chairman and Congress leader Rajev Shukla and BCCI Joint Secretary Anurag Thakur. These are trying their best to get the numbers on their sire to remove Srinivasan from the post of BCCI president.
