As many as 5861 Haj seats have been allotted to Jammu and Kashmir by Haj Committee of India for current year, a spokesman of the state committee said today.

As many as 5861 Haj seats have been allotted to Jammu and Kashmir by Haj Committee of India for current year, a spokesman of the state committee said today.
The state has reserved 854 Haj seats for applicants who have been applying continuously for the past three years, as per the decision of Haj committee of India, he said.
Of the 854, 272 applications were from Srinagar, 228 from Pulwama, Shopian 168, Anantnag 46, Baramulla 54, Budgam 25,
Ganderbal 39, 4 from Leh and 18 from Kulgam.
5007 Hajj seats remain for draw of lots this year, he said.
