Around 100 injured birds have been rescued by the Forest department personnel and local people in Howrah district, a senior Forest official said today.

Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Howrah, Niranjita Mitra said around 100 injured birds have been rescued by the Forest department personnel on Sunday and today from Uluberia and Panpur village.

The injured birds have been sent to the Veterinary dispensary at Garchimukh, the DFO said.

The birds were injured when a storm hit Uluberia and Panpur village on Saturday night.
