A 27-year-old army jawan allegedly committed suicide alongwith his wife by throwing themselves before a moving train between Devlali railway station and Farjadi-Baug here, police said today.

A 27-year-old army jawan allegedly committed suicide alongwith his wife by throwing themselves before a moving train between Devlali railway station and Farjadi-Baug here, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday around 11 AM after jawan Kishor Popat Aarote and wife Monika decided to end their life. However, the reason behind their extreme step is not yet known, they said.

Kishor, a resident of village Shingve-Bahula near Devlali camp was working in the Army since 8 years and was posted at New Delhi. He had come to his home town on April 23 to attend the marriage of his friend and cast his vote on April 24 he cast his vote too for Lok Sabha polls, police said adding further investigations are on.
