If you think you have taken some tough tests in life, you need to think again. The questions that the BMC asks sweepers, ward boys and crematorium assistants would make even PhD aspirants sweat.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the GK section of the quiz for conservancy job aspirants included:
Q: Which is the biggest constellation?
Q: Who was the 44th Chief Justice of India? Q:
Q: Which acid is found in vinegar?
Q: What is gynoecium?
Q: Name the protest called by freedom fighters after the partition of Bengal?
The report found that even five university students couldn’t answer the questions. BJP MLC Bhai Girkar brought up the issue in the Maha Legislative Council on Friday and demanded a stay on the recruitment process.
Girkar had called the process bizarre and said: “They are putting applicants through online test when most of them barely know how to start a computer. Questions should be relevant to the job a person is applying for. I have demanded an immediate stay on the recruitment process,” he said.
BMC chief Ajoy Mehta had refused to comment n the matter and a BMC official had deemed the test a ‘resounding success’.
