Vikram Singh is still in shock. This resident of Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur can't believe that his only son is gone.
Parth Singh, the 13-year-old, class VII student, allegedly committed suicide on Sunday and the parents suspect it to be a case of the Blue Whale Challenge.
According to Singh, he had scolded his son on numerous occasions for obsessively playing games on his mobile phone.
But he could never imagine that a game would take his son's life.
On Sunday, Parth Singh was playing a game on his father’s mobile phone. Suddenly he got up and rushed to his room.
When he did not answer calls from his parents, the father went to his room only to find the teen's body hanging from the ceiling fan.
The parents rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The couple told the police that they were not aware about what kind of game Parth Singh was playing.
The police claimed that they have seized his and his father’s mobile phone for the probe. “There are no injury marks on his body. It seems a clear case of suicide. We have sent mobiles to experts to ascertain if he was playing the Blue Whale Game which led to his suicide,” said SHO Pramendra Singh.
After the Delhi High Court order, the Centre had issued an advisory to all state government to initiate action and register FIRs against anyone playing or forcing to the play Blue Whale game.
If proven, this would be fourth death across country due to Blue Whale Challange.
In the Russian internet death game, players are told to complete certain self-harming tasks with the last one being committing suicide.
