Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Kejriwal said that he had already spoken to Ankit’s father and was ensuring that the Delhi government would do what it takes to help the deceased’s family.
Earlier, Delhi BJP leader Manoj Tiwari demanded Rs 1 crore as compensation for Ankit's kin from the AAP government in the capital. A photographer by profession, Ankit was killed in Khyala on February 1.
Tiwari after visiting Ankit's kin was quoted as saying, "He didn't go to any girl's house. Communal angle shouldn't be given to organised crime. His family has lost their only earning member & so I want a compensation of Rs 1 cr for them".
Since the murder, the police have kept strict vigil in the area that has been gripped by tension since the incident.
Four persons, including the brother of the woman, were nabbed a few hours after Saxena was stabbed to death by them.
"Three accused -- the mother, father and uncle of the woman -- have been sent to judicial custody. Her minor brother has been sent to the juvenile home," a senior police officer said.
Local residents have, however, claimed the killing was not a fallout of Saxena being in an interfaith relationship. A friend of Saxena said "news reports suggesting a communal angle in the incident are wrong".
Earlier, reports that have since been quashed suggested that Saxena was on his way to meet the woman when her family caught sight of him. Shezadi's family was against their relationship and they feared their daughter would elope with Ankit.
According to the reports, they forced her to marry another man and was dead against her relationship with Ankit. Ankit and the woman met when they were neighbours but her family shifted to a different location after they got to know of the relationship.
