Pakistan army has touched India's raw nerve by officially releasing a video eulogising the stone-pelters in Kashmir valley, sparking anger among the mainstream political parties here, who have demanded immediate and appropriate action against Islamabad.

Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of Pakistan military, released a 3.56-minute video titled 'Sangbaaz' (the stone-pelters), on different social media platforms.

The video, released on the eve of Kashmir Day being observed by Pakistan on February 5 to express solidarity with the separatist movement in J&K, features footage of the stone-pelters carrying Pakistani flags and targeting the security forces. A song asking New Delhi to quit Kashmir runs as background score in the video. It also features Hizbul Mujahideen poster boy Burhan Wani's funeral procession and the pictures of militants in battle gears.

The video has triggered a major political storm here with mainstream political parties describing it as ample proof of the involvement of Islamabad and Pakistan's army behind the 2016 summer unrest in the Valley.

"We have been saying from the beginning that Pakistan is behind the unrest. Now they stand fully exposed...the video has proved beyond doubt their role in the unrest," said Rajeev Jasrotia, BJP MLA from Kathua.

Jasrotia also urged the government to take preventive measures as the video is an indication of Pakistan preparing for the next round of mischief. "Serious attempts should be made to prevent the unrest," he said.

"There is no doubt that Pakistan is fomenting trouble in Kashmir. Pakistan premier even termed Burhan Wani as a martyr," said Ravinder Sharma, spokesperson of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee.
