Police have sent a team to Ranchi in Jharkhand to hunt down the housemaid and her boyfriend allegedly involved in the murder of 50-year-old Madhu Agrawal.

Police have sent a team to Ranchi in Jharkhand to hunt down the housemaid and her boyfriend allegedly involved in the murder of 50-year-old Madhu Agrawal. Madhu was stabbed to death at her residence in Dhananjay Bungalow on Monday by the maid, Manila, and her boyfriend Rohit who are believed to have left for their native in Ranchi.

Investigation by Anandnagar police revealed that Manila had developed a liking for Rohit who was hired to make chapatis at the bungalow. Manila’s fiancé Sushil claimed that he had a doubt about their secret relationship but was not sure of an affair. In his statement to police, Sushil, who works as domestic help at a nearby bungalow, said that Manila could not have committed such crime.

Meanwhile, J H Jalu, senior police inspector of Anandnagar, visited the bungalow on Wednesday to look for more clues. It is learned that the room behind the bungalow that was allotted to Manila is intact. Her belongings and clothes are still lying in the room. This has led the cops to believe that the murder and subsequent loot might not have been pre planned. Instead, it could be the result of a momentary outburst. After the murder, both Manila and Rohit may have left without taking their luggage.

According to sources, Madhu had bad temper. She had sacked Rohit when he came to the bungalow drunk one day a month ago. He begged her to take him back, but she refused. This might have angered Rohit as well as Manila, who could not meet him. To take revenge, the duo might have killed her and eloped. Following this theory, cops have already sent a team to Ranchi.
