BJP National President Amit Shah will address a public meeting in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency on Sunday during which a large number of people are expected to join the saffron party.

The meeting is being organised by former Samajwadi Party local leader Anil Rajbhar, who will formally join BJP in Shah's presence at the event here. "BJP national president Amit Shah will speak at a public meeting organised by local backward caste leader Anil Rajbhar," said Sanjay Bhardwaj, BJP's media incharge of Eastern UP region as well as of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency.

Rajbhar, who has served as an Advisor to Planning Commission of Uttar Pradesh, holding the status of Minister of State during the Mulayam Singh Yadav government, will join the party tomorrow along with his supporters belonging to the backward castes in Poorvanchal region, he said.

The rally is being organised at the Cutting Memorial ground in the city and nearly more than 5,000-10,000 people especially from the backward classes such as Bind, Mallah, Kharwar, Kevat, Biyar and other castes are expected to attend, said Bhardwaj.

A mass joining in BJP of people from these castes will also take place here, he said.

The rally is also organised to pay regards to Raja Suheldev, a backward caste king, he said, adding, Suheldev was a backward caste king who is worshipped for fighting Muslim leaders, including the powerful Muhammad Ghazni in the 11th century.
