Bharatiya Janata Party national president Amit Shah said that politics of appeasement, casteism and dynasty came to an end in the last three years and for the first time people realised how a government working for welfare of nation and society works, referring to the Pew survey that described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ‘by far’ the most popular figure in Indian politics.

Noting that the PM has initiated a new scheme at a gap of 15 days on an average, and tried to reach even the last man in the society, Shah said people’s confidence in nation has gone up drastically after Modi government came to power.

Hailing GST and note ban for bringing transparency in economy, Shah said  youths are getting better opportunities for jobs through PM’s initiatives such as Skill India, Stand Up India, Start-Up India and Mudra Bank schemes.

According to a survey conducted by the American think tank, more than eight-in-10 Indians say economic conditions are good in the country despite Modi’s decision to abolish high-value bank notes last November.

“The findings of Pew Global research are very significant. After Modi Government came to power, people’s trust in Government, Democracy and confidence that the nation is in the right direction has gone up drastically,” Shah said

The research carried out by University of Michigan School of Information study analysed over 9,000 tweets by Modi over a six-year period.
