Amethi to become like Singapore, California: Rahul Gandhi

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi promising to transform his parliamentary constituency Varanasi into a savvy place like Japan's Kyoto city, AICCNarendraent Rahul Gandhi promised to develop his Lok Sabha seat Amethi like Singapore and California within the next 15 years.

Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating a school in his parliamentary constituency, Rahul said that in the next 15 years, people will talk about Amethi in the same breath as California and Singapore.

Charging the Yogi government at the state level and the Centre of halting development work in his parliamentary constituency, he said that "no one can stop Amethi from becoming a world-class education hub".

"Many development projects, including the food park, were withdrawn by the Central government. The state government is taking the credit for the work done by me in Amethi," claimed Rahul.

The AICC President, on the last day of the three-day visit to Amethi, laid the foundation stones for several development projects, including roads and school and held a chaupal with Dalits in Thekari Daandu village and met farmers and people of his parliamentary constituency in different villages to attend to their grievances.
