Amid ongoing terror attacks and infiltration in the Valley, Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday assured that Amarnath Yatra will pass off peacefully.
"We will take care of it don't worry. The Yatra will pass off peacefully," said said Director General of Police SP Vaid
He also said that Hizbul Mujahideen has larger presence but Tuesday's incidents were carried out by Jaish-e-Mohammed as per intelligence reports.
Last night, militants carried out a series of attacks on security forces in South Kashmir, injuring 13 jawans in a span of four hours. The ultras also looted four service rifles of the security personnel.
Pakistan-based militant groups Al-Umar Mujahideen and Jaish-e-Mohammad claimed responsibility for the attacks.
A grenade was hurled on a CRPF camp at Ladiyar in Tral area of Pulwama district. 10 paramilitary jawans were injured in the attack.
