All states must have same fuel rates: Uddhav Thackeray

Pointing out that Mumbaikars were paying the highest rates for fuel in India, Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday demanded uniform rates of petrol and diesel in all the states of the country if GST is being implemented.

Thackeray was speaking to the media after the induction of a few NCP corporators from Mira-Bhayender into the Shiv Sena. Saying that various states impose fuel rates as per their wish, Thackeray added that this practice leads to a hike in fuel prices and there is thus a need for uniform fuel rates all over the country, if GST is indeed being rolled out.

Also reiterating his demand for RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's candidature for the presidential election, Thackeray said that if RSS people are being appointed to various other positions, then why can't the same apply for the post of President.
