The Madhya Pradesh unit of All India Milli Council (AIMC) on the advice of its National General Secretary, Dr Mohammad Manzoor Alam today urged people of the state to cast their votes for those who walk on the secular path with faith in the Indian constitution.

AIMC Pradesh President, Wafa Siddiqui in a press release today appealed people in MP to cast their votes in favour of secular candidates of any party who can defeat "fascist forces" like BJP, VHP, Shiv Sena and others in the country.

They cautioned the innocent people of the state not to be taken in by words of BJP Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi who has no faith in the secular character of the country.

Our main aim was to boost the unity among different sections of the society, in general, and the Muslims in particular, the release said.

It said that the fascist forces were growing fast and determined to ruin the secular fabric of the country if they came to power at the Centre.

The release said that a large number of our Hindu brethren were secular in the country and they never want communal forces to come to power.

The AIMC had in February and March this year, taken out a Karwan-e-Ittehad-Mulk-o-Millat to bring awareness among the people to cast their votes in favour of secular candidates of any party who believed in the constitution.
