Airtel 3G data down for updation; company says services have resumed

Airtel's 3G data services have been down in select parts of Mumbai since Friday morning.

When we spoke to the company's corporate communication team, they said that data services were down for about half hour in the morning, but services had been resumed since. 

However, when we spoke to Airtel's customer care, an executive said that services were expected to be down for about four hours more, as the company was updating its data services. 

Meanwhile, Twitter was abuzz with complains about Airtel's data services too.

Reacting to Airtel's recent 50% cash back offer for data used during the night, a Twitter user complaining about the data services said,

@airtelindia I am not even able to use 3G in daytime because the connection is not working. What's the use of such offers.. #JokeOfTheDay

People who are paying for Airtel 4G are actually using Airtel 3G & people who are paying for Airtel 3G are actually donating money.
