An air hostess of Air India has accused a senior executive of sexual harassment for the last six years. She alleged that the AI management did not act on her complaint made in September 2017. However, Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu has asked AI to address the issue and also assured of setting up a committee. When contacted, she said, "I am in London and will be back by May 30." She refused to comment further.

The AI hostess tweeted that the complaint copy was sent to Prabhu and PM on May 25. "This senior executive is a predator and has sexually propositioned me, abused me, used abusive language on other women in my presence, spoken of sexual acts with me and other women," she said in her complaint letter.

She added: "He is equal to if not worse than Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby put together, and I marvel at those ladies who have come forward after decades of abuse and sexual harassment."

She alleged that Air India's woman's cell did nothing to act on the issue and dragged their feet on the matter. During the mockery of enquiry when I narrated my tale of sexual harassment, the lady chairperson of the committee responded, "Oh you know how he talks. He has even flirted with me like this."
