A day after parcel-blast at a courier company's office in Ahmednagar, the investigation has revealed that the sender of the parcel had given the delivery address of founder of Sarhad NGO Sanjay Nahar in Pune. According to sources, the explosives were concealed in a book which was to be parceled to Nahar in Pune.

The blast had taken place in the office of Maruti courier services in Maliwadi area of Ahmednagar district on Tuesday in which two employees of the courier agency have sustained injuries. According to police, an unidentified person had given two parcels to the courier agency which were to be delivered to Nahar at his Sarhad office's address in Pune.
"There was a letter along with these parcels where the writer of the letter projected to be the girl student of Nahar. She wrote that she was very thankful for his help and she was sending that parcel as a gift to return his favors," a police officer from Ahmednagar police said.
According to investigating officials, while the employees of the courier agency were sorting the parcels, the parcel which was to be sent to Nahar fell down. "The employees of the courier agency got curious about the parcel and they opened it. As soon as they opened the parcel the radioactive improvised device concealed in the book exploded," the police officer said. In that blast, two employees of the courier agency Sandeep Bhujbal and Sanjay Kshirsagar sustained injuries.
After the blast, senior officials of Ahmednagar police reached the spot and the investigations have begun. According to the sources, it appears to be a low-intensity explosive device which triggered off. After the incident, police have released the sketch of a person who had given the parcel to the courier agency.
After it was found out that the parcel was to be delivered to Sanjay Nahar's office in Pune, the investigating agencies have started inquiring with Nahar also. Confirming the inquiry, Nahar told DNA, "After the incident, I have got phone calls from various investigating agencies who have inquired me in regards to the incident. The sender of the parcel claiming to be a girl whom I have helped but I am sure that none of my students will get into such kind of act."
Nahar's Sarhad NGO has been working for the rehabilitation of children from Jammu and Kashmir. Hundreds of children from Jammu and Kashmir who have become victims of terrorism are studying in the NGO in Pune. Before working for Kashmiri students, Nahar was carrying out social work in Punjab when the state was facing challenge of terrorism.
