Ahmedabad: RJ Kunal surrenders before police in wife's suicide case

After his wife committed suicide on January 21, Ahmedabad-based RJ Kunal surrendered before police on Wednesday. 

"Kunal Desai surrendered today, will proceed further after arresting him," Anandnagar police inspector P V Jadeja said. 

Victim Bhumi Desai had married RJ Kunal, who works at a private FM radio station in Ahmedabad, in November last year. Bhumi committed suicide by jumping off the terrace of Sachin Tower near Shyamal Crossroad in Ahmedabad. 

"They had got married on November 24 last year. Recently, they had been to Bangkok together and had come back on January 18," Jadeja said. 

Meanwhile, one of her relatives had told reporters that some differences had cropped up between the couple during their Thailand trip. After that, she had reportedly stopped living at her husband's place and was staying with her parents.
