While the preparation of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray's visit to Ayodhya has already begun, before heading to the holy city, Thackeray today visited Chhatrapati Shivaji's birthplace at Shivneri fort. After offering prayers at the fort, Thackeray carried soil of the birthplace of Shivaji which he will be offering at Ayodhya.

Thackeray in his traditional Dussehra rally announced that he would be going to Ayodhya on November 25 and from there he would be asking questions to the central government about delay in construction of the Ram temple.

As per Thackeray's announcement, some Shiv Sainiks have already started gathering at Ayodhya where they have started the preparation ahead of their party chief's visit. Meanwhile, Thackeray today reached the birthplace of Shivaji at Shivneri fort in Junnar tehsil of Pune district. After reaching the fort by helicopter, Thackeray offered prayers at the fort and then collected some soil of the fort.

Speaking to DNA, Shiv Sena's member of parliament Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil who was also present with Thackeray said, "It is holy soil as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born here. When Maharashtra state was formed, Yashwantrao Chavan had taken this holy soil to Mumbai. Similarly, we are now taking this soil to Ayodhya." "We believe that the holy soil gives strength to complete any task and once the soil is offered at Ram Janmabhoomi, the construction work of Ram temple will begin on a fast track," Patill said.

Thackeray is expected to reach Ayodhya on November 24, a day before his rally but most of his party workers are reaching there on Friday. "While Thackeray Saheb is reaching Ayodhya on Saturday, we are reaching the site tomorrow for all the necessary preparation for the rally," Patil said.
