After Honeypreet's arrest, hunt for Aditya Insaan intensifies

Dera chief's spokesperson, Aditya Insaan was booked for sedition and inciting violence among Dera followers who had gathered in Panchkula on August 25.

With the arrest of Honeypreet Insaan, who topped the list of wanted accused in case pertaining to Dera violence, the hunt has now intensified for convicted Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim's Man Friday, Aditya Insaan.

"We have been carrying out continuous raids for all accused, but our emphasis was on locating Honeypreet since she is considered the closest to Gurmeet. She was with him when the verdict was announced as well. After her, the two key accused are Aditya Insaan and Pawan Insan, the next closest aides of the Dera chief," said Haryana Inspector General AS Chawla.

Dera chief's spokesperson, Aditya Insaan was booked for sedition and inciting violence among Dera followers who had gathered in Panchkula on August 25. Rahim's close-aide, he had been actively involved in Dera operations.

During interrogation, Honeypreet will be questioned about the whereabout of the two key accused. "She will be asked about the persons who she remained in touch with after the verdict, and whether Aditya Insaan was one of them," a member of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case said.

Honeypreet, followed by Aditya Insaan topped the list of 43 accused released by Haryana Police in the case related to the violence that led to the death of 41 people in the state, including 35 in Panchkula. As many as 1,078 persons have been arrested in various cases registered in the aftermath of Dera violence.
