After gaining a foothold in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party is preparing to spread its wings in BJP-ruled Rajasthan as it plans to field candidates in all 25 parliamentary constituencies in upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

AAP's state convener Ashok Jain said the party has started its preparation for the Lok Sabha elections and is currently carrying out a membership drive as well as screening candidates for the 2014 polls.

The party has formed teams of dedicated workers and assigned specific tasks like membership drive programme, financial management, legal affairs among others.

"Over 1,600 people including eight from abroad have shown interest in our political internship programme which is open for people who are passionate about changing the political system and willing to work for this," he informed.

State Secretary Rakesh Parikh said the party has been receiving volunteer services of lawyers, chartered accountants and others.

"Our teams are now pro-actively working on making our base stronger in the state through various means.

"We have formed our teams in most of the districts and now we will start working for selecting candidates with clean image and background for fielding them in upcoming Lok Sabha elections," he said.
