Pressure is mounting on the Congress high command to sack party’s J&K state president GA Mir for questioning the probe into the Kathua incident.

Two undated videos of Mir backing the protestors and questioning the probe have gone viral prompting people to ask Congress President Rahul Gandhi to walk the talk after BJP sacked two ministers for joining the rally of Hindu Ekta Manch.

“It (case) was given to local police. There was a man in the investigation team who was apprehended earlier. Then it was given to Crime Branch and two more people were picked up. As per the local population the real culprit is still out. It is a simple thing if the investigation is motivated to hush up the case, the questions will arise,” Mir said in one video.

In another video, Mir said politics is being played in the arrests too. “They have arrested some other person. They do politics in that too. They leave the real culprit and just do politicking,” he said.

Ministers Chaudhary Lal and Chander Prakash had submitted resignation to the BJP state chief on Friday. On Saturday, the party decided to forward them to the CM to diffuse crisis in the ruling BJP-PDP coalition.
