Activists of a right wing organisation on Saturday held protests here claiming that some community kitchens set up by people from Punjab were attacked during clashes between ponywallas and community kitchen operators at Baltal Base camp of Amarnath Yatra in J&K.

During the demonstration, the activists of Shiv Sena (Hindustan) smashed the windowpanes of a Jammu and Kashmir State Transport Roadways Transport Corporation bus at Gandhi Chowk, police said. The bus was on its way to Jammu from Amritsar, they said. At least 37 persons, including few security force personnel, were injured in the clashes that broke out on Friday morning after a dispute between pony owners and those running community kitchens followed by the alleged high-handedness by CRPF personnel.
