Action will be taken once Income Tax department submits report, says Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said action will be taken against Noida Authority's engineer-in-chief Yadav Singh once the I-T department submits its report to the government.

"Action will be taken once the report is received from the agencies probing the matter," the minister said during a an event. "These organisations are bigger than the government. 

Whatever the input is from I-T or enforcement directorate, the action will be taken when it comes to the knowledge of the government," he added stressing that the actions were always taken by the state government.

The Income Tax department conducted raid at the house of Kusumlata, wife of Noida authority engineer-in-chief Yadav Singh, and recovered Rs 12 lakh cash, two kg gold and diamond jewellery.

Kusumlata is Director of Meenu Creations, which manufactures designer clothers. The raids were conducted in conenction with the sale of plots in Noida through bogus share-holdings.

Engineer-in-chief Yadav Singh's alleged role in misuse of his post to get land allotted is under scrutiny.
