Accident on Yamuna Expressway near Mathura, 3 AIIMS doctors killed

In a tragic incident, which happened in the wee hours of Sunday morning, an Innova rammed into a canter on Yamuna Expressway, near Mathura. In the accident, 3 AIIMS doctors, two of them women have lost their lives. 4 doctors are critical, and are currently being treated.

According to reports, at around 2 AM, the Innova car hit a container. The doctors were going from Delhi to Agra, when the accident happened near Mathura's Surir Kotwali police station area.The intensity of the accident was such that all people who were in the car got stuck.The deceased have been identified as lady doctors Dr Yashprit (25) and Dr Hembala (about 25), and Dr Harshad (35), reports PTI. Authorities rushed to the spot as soon as they got to know about the accident. With the help of locals and policemen from nearby station, the preliminary rescue work was done. SP (Rural) Aditya Kumar Shukla told PTI that the injured doctors Dr Jitendra, Dr Mahesh, Dr Abhinav and lady doctor Dr Catherine were later rushed to the AIIMS​.  Dr Catherine Himla is reportedly critical. 

Initially they were admitted to Mathura local hospital, but they were shifted as their condition was critical. The dead bodies have been sent for postmortem.  According to reports, the doctors were travelling to celebrate the birthday of Dr Harshad when the tragedy occurred. Yamuna Expressway is one of the most dangerous expressway in the country.
