The hearing on the bail plea of dentist couple Rajesh Talwar and Nupur Talwar, who have been awarded life sentence for the murder of their teenage daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj, today began before the Allahabad High Court.

A division bench, comprising Justice Rakesh Tiwari and Justice Anil Kumar Agarwal, ordered the matter be posted for further hearing tomorrow.

The Noida-based dentist couple, who were awarded life sentence by a CBI court on November 26, 2013, had moved the High Court in January this year challenging their conviction in the case.

They have now moved an application with the request that they be released on bail for the period their appeal is pending.

Aarushi and Hemraj were found murdered inside the Talwars' residence in May, 2008.
