AAP's membership drive to start from 10th, just say 'Main bhi aam aadmi hoon'

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav on Sunday said that the party would start a membership drive called 'Main bhi aam aadmi hoon' where people from all over the country can apply to contest for the Lok Sabha elections.

"From tenth there will be a membership drive called 'main bhi aam aadmi hoon' where we will request the people from all over the country, who are interested in joining our party to get a membership of the AAP," said Yadav.

"We will ask them to take out time for the country and start doing some thing for their constituencies. No fees will be charged for the registration. The applications ill be accepted from 10th to 26th of this month and the responsibility of which has been given to Gopal Rai," he said.

He further said that they have not decided the number of seats they will be contesting for in each constituency

"We haven't decided the number of seats but the guidelines have been made. We will make sure that we send a deserving candidate to contest the seats," said Yadav.

"Although, it has been decided that we will contest all 10 Lok Sabha seats and 90 Assembly seats from Haryana and the first list of candidates for Lok Sabha polls will be declared between 15-20 January," he said.

"We have made a three member national campaign coordination committee which will include Sanjay Singh, Pankaj Gupta and Yogendra Yadav. They will be responsible for collecting funds, selecting candidates, deciding the manifesto and the central coordination. We will soon include other people in the committee," said Yadav.

"The first list of candidates for Lok Sabha polls will be declared between 15-20 January and AAP's manifesto is expected by March," he said.
