AAP stages protest against MLA Surinder Singh's arrest

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers staged a protest outside Parliament Street police station here on Friday against the arrest of their MLA Surinder Singh. The Delhi Police had earlier in the day arrested Surinder Singh in connection with the assault on a NDMC worker.

Earlier, the Patiala House Court had rejected Surinder Singh's anticipatory bail plea. 

Surinder Singh was booked for allegedly assaulting a worker of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and for making derogatory remarks against him.
