AAP slams Narendra Modi government over corruption, price rise; calls it UPA-3

Dubbing the NDA government at the Centre as UPA-3, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday accused it of not being able to handle major issues such as corruption, price rise even after taking over the reins at the Centre.

"NDA government led by Narendra Modi is UPA-3. BJP during Lok Sabha polls had promised to wipe out corruption, contain price rise with a slogan - Good days will come. Ironically, nothing has changed so far," AAP leader Manish Sisodia said. Sisodia was also flanked by other AAP leaders like Yogendra Yadav and Ashutosh.

AAP leaders also chastised the NDA government for supporting FDI and accused it of following on the footsteps of previous UPA government.

On the issue of separate committee in Haryana for managing gurdwaras, AAP leaders accused both Akalis and Congress-led Haryana government of playing vote bank politics in order to divert attention of voters from rampant corruption, price rise and drug issue in the two states.

AAP is holding its three-day national executive body meeting at Sunam, 15 km form here, to chalk out a strategy to strengthen the party base in the state. The party had won four Lok Sabha seats from Punjab including Sangrur, Faridkot, Patiala and Fatehgarh Sahib in the recently concluded general elections.

Party leaders said they have sought feedback from experts, intellectuals and various activists to prepare a blueprint for the party. The leaders would also discuss party's agenda on foreign policy, agriculture, education, poverty.
