The AAP's national executive meet, first after its spectacular victory in the Delhi assembly polls, will be held here next week and the party leaders are expected to discuss its future strategies to expand its base across India.

Leaders across the country are expected to participate in the meeting scheduled on February 26 next week.
"Before the national executive, the Political Affairs Committee will meet to set an agenda for the meeting," a party leader said. This will be the first national executive meeting after the Delhi assembly polls victory. The last meeting was held at Sangrur in Punjab, incidentally, after party's rout in the Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting will be attended by leaders from different states and will assess the impact of AAP's victory in their regions. Also, decisions like whether the party should contest polls in other states will be taken.
"There is a demand from volunteers that we contest Municipal elections in Mumbai and Bangalore. These cities have strong party volunteer base. But it all depends on whether the party is prepared to go for polls," another senior party leader said.
"There have been different views in the party on what should be our strategy. This requires a lot of debating," he said. While Kejriwal in his speech after swearing in, said that the party would only focus on Delhi for the next five years, senior party leader Yogendra Yadav, in his interactions with the media, has said that the party plans to focus on 4-5 states.
Another section is of the opinion that the party should focus on Punjab, a state which has four AAP MPs and also has "strong anti-incumbency" for ruling Shiromani Akali Dal and the BJP. We have to take a call on the divergent views we have. Secondly, we also need to take some decisions related to the organisation. We also need to take into account our limited resources and the strength of our organisation in different states," the leaders said
The party is, however, not planning to contest Bihar elections.
