Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav on Tuesday said he has been told that the MLAs in Delhi are being forced to sign a letter against him and Prashant Bhushan.

"I would like to thank my four colleagues for making a statement in public. Hope this would put an end to all this rumour mongering, and opens the possibility for a truthful dialogue. I'm told that Delhi MLAs are being forced to sign a letter against us, I hope this ends," Yadav said.

"It is our party's mechanism that Lokpal can look into allegations against any party leader; and the Lokpal is willing to look into it," he added. Earlier in the day, AAP had issued a statement justifying the expulsion of Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan from the Political Affairs committee (PAC) of the party on March 4.

The statement said, "During Delhi elections, three senior AAP leaders were working towards our defeat- Yogendra Yadav, Shanti Bhushan and Prashant Bhushan. Prashant Bhushan used to call up AAP leaders of other states and tried to convince them to not campaign in Delhi."

The statement further said that Prashant Bhushan told AAP leaders: 'I won't campaign, you shouldn't either...Arvind needs to be taught a lesson.''
