The AAP on Thursday stepped up its attack on Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay by coming out with "documents" which it claimed "show" his alleged financial links with power discom BSES and challenged him to quit politics as it produced the "evidence".

On the other hand, Upadhyay served a legal notice on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal for making baseless allegations on Wednesday that he had a nexus with the power distribution company. In his legal notice, Upadhyay asked the AAP leader to provide proof of his allegations with next 24 hours or face legal action. Upadhyay had yesterday said he will quit politics if AAP produces evidence substantiate its allegations.

The AAP at a press conference addressed by senior leaders Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh and Ashutosh, released certain documents and challenged the BJP leader to stick to his word of "quitting politics" as they came up with "fresh evidence". The AAP leaders rubbished Upadhyay's claim as "blatantly untrue" that he had relinquished all posts from NCNL, the firm that installed and replaced electricity meters for BSES in Delhi.

"Since he spoke of quitting politics if we produce proof of his involvement, we are producing documented evidence and we would urge him to stick to his word," Sisodia said.

Kejriwal had yesterday said New Delhi Communication Network Ltd (NCNL) owned by him was installing and repairing meters for the discoms in the city. The former Delhi chief minister further minister claimed that Upadhyay owns 6000 shares in the company. AAP spokesperson Raghav Chadha alleged that the NCNL Infomedia Pvt Limited's Memorandum of Association clearly shows Upadhyay is an equal partner in the company.

"NCNL Infomedia Pvt Ltd was formed in 2002..the last page of the Memorandum of Association have the signatures of Umesh Upadhyay and Satish Upadhyay..the duo is also listed as the directors of the company," he alleged.

AAP Spokesperson Raghav Chadha said "Upadhyay claims that he resigned from all private companies after 2012 after becoming a councilor. However, this is blatantly untrue. Records from Ministry of Corporate Affairs clearly show he is still director in two companies."

On Wednesday Upadhyay had said his firm used to do some works for BSES and other companies which include installations of meters and towers. But he said the firm didn't supply meters to any power distribution company.
