AAP activist suicide: MLA Sharad Chauhan arrested; Ashutosh asks if Modi has lost mental balance

Aam Aadmi Party MLA Sharad Chauhan was arrested on Sunday in connection with the alleged suicide of an Aam Aadmi Party activist in the Narela area of Outer Delhi.

"AAP MLA Sharad Chauhan arrested. Seven others including previous investigating officer probing suicide, have also been arrested." reported ANI.

The arrests were made by the Delhi Police Crime Branch.

A fortnight ago, an AAP activist allegedly committed suicide in Narela. Earlier, she had filed a complaint against party colleague Ramesh Wadhwa for allegedly touching her inappropriately, and a case of molestation was registered in June. The accused had then been arrested.

However, her family members claimed that she went into depression after her alleged molester, a party colleague, was released on bail.

Meanwhile, taking to the micro-blogging website, Twitter, AAP spokesperson Ashutosh attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and questioned if the country was safe with the PM acting in such anger and vengence. 

"Another AAP MLA arrested. Has Modi gone mad? Has he lost his mental balance? If PM acts with such anger/vengeance then is country safe!," he tweeted.

He further added, "Delhi government is doing great job. Yesterday 16 lakh parents of government schools 1st time came for PTM.Instead of appreciating he is putting in jail. Great initiatives are taken by Delhi government in education-health instead of praising Modi is sending AAP MLA jail. Is country safe in his hands?"
