This week in his show A Dialogue with JC, Jagdeesh Chandra, CEO Regional Channels' of Zee Media will be analyzing the prospective Cabinet Reshuffle of Modi Government. Quoting his trusted sources, Chandra said that the expansion could take place on the 2nd of September. PM Modi and BJP President Amit Shah had a long discussion on this three days ago. Chandra said that he is expecting a change in at least two dozen ministries. He also said that many ministries can be merged.

Talking on the nuances of the expected expansion he said that Shiv Sena's position will not be the same after AIADMK's entry into the cabinet. Chandra said the only parameter of the reshuffle wil be the performance and 2019 elections. He is also expecting that seven new governors are to be made and for the same ministers can be relieved from the ministries. Talking on state's representation Chandra said that those states can get more representations where elections are due like Karnataka, Gujarat and Himanchal. He said, Uttarakhand can get one more minister. But according to Chandra Uttar Pradesh will lose some names because there are no elections in the state.

He said two MPs from JDU can become ministers. Praising Dharmendra Pradhan, Chandra said that he has done good work in Ujjwala Yojna and Modi is expecting the same from this scheme as Narega in UPA government. He also hoped that if BJP wins in Odisha, Pradhan can be given charge of the state. Chandra in his analysis said that other than Pradhan Piyush Goel, Rajyawardhan Singh and Jayant Sinha can also get promotions.

Talking on the 'Last' expansion of Modi government, Chandra said that Ram Madhav and Bhupendra Yadav would also be included in the team Government. Chandra referred to Smriti Irani as a fire brand leader of BJP and said she would continue to be the I&B minister and would also lead the party in Raebareli and Amethi, the congress bastions in UP. Chandra also said that other than Amit Shah RSS would also play a key role in deciding the names for the cabinet. Chandra also declined the possibilities that CMs like Shivraj, Raman or Vasundhara could be brought into the cabinet from their respective states. Talking on possible names which can be dropped from the cabinet, he named Radha Mohan Singh, Uma Bharti and Rajiv Pratap Rudi. Referring to Arun Jaitley the second man after Shah, he said he could continue as the Defense minister and the finance could go to Piyush Goel. Chandra also hoped that ministries relating to transport like road, Water, Railways and Civil Aviation could be merged and the charge could be given to Nitin Gadkari. Chandra said, this would be the last expansion of the Modi Government before 2019 elections and this team would lead BJP to the next elections.
