"Increasing retirement age uniformly across the country to 65 years shall also give the breathing time and time to introspect for our cadre controlling authority, Ministry of Health, so that measures are taken to workout permanent solutions to retain the cream of doctors in the service sectors who can serve public, patients and hence nation," said Rajeev Sood, Chairman of JACSDO.

"At the same time we are pained to see the 7th Pay Commission scuttling the 25 years efforts of JACSDO to get various committees constituted and procuring their recommendations," he said.

Members of JACSDO also met the Union Health Minister J P Nadda and Minister of State, PMO, Jitendra Singh yesterday after the Cabinet meeting and expressed their gratitude and also put forth their demands with regard to the Pay Commission recommendations.
