Bihar: At least 7 killed, 20 injured in bus-truck collision

At least seven persons were killed and 20 injured, 10 of them seriously, when a bus in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary truck at Kurra village in Kaimur district, police said today.

At least seven persons were killed and 20 injured,10 of them seriously, when a bus in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary truck at Kurra village in Kaimur district of Bihar, police said today.

The accident took place under Mohania police station area late last night when the bus carrying pilgrims, some of them from Nepal and Uttar Pradesh, was on way to Jagannathpuri temple here, Sub-divisional Officer (SDO) Khursheed Anwar said.

Six deceased have been identified as Chhote Verma, Kanti Verma, Ram Gopal, Panijarahat, Bhadra Bahadur (both from Nepal) and Ram Sagar.

A woman who died in the accident is yet to be identified, the SDO said.

While the injured have been admitted to Mohania government hospital, those critically injured have been referred to Varanasi government hospital, Anwar said.
