65-yr-old bizman held for sodomising employee

A 65-year-old small time businessman was arrested by the Dadar police for sodomising his employee.

He was arrested after one of his employees on May 23 approached the Dadar police and registered a complaint against him.

According to the Dadar police, Lalpratap Singh Thakur ran a small sweet shop in Prabhadevi area for the last one year and had employed young boys from Uttar Pradesh to make sweets in his shop. Thakur allegedly held back salaries of his employees and used to threaten them to have sex with him in return of their salaries.

However, one of his employees approached the Dadar police and registered a complaint.

The boy, in his statement to the police, stated that Thakur had held up his salary for the last few months and whenever he demanded the money, Thakur used to force him to have unnatural sex with him. The complainant stated that when he asked Thakur to pay his salary since his brother was getting married, Thakur refused to pay him the money and forced him to have sex in the shop. The Dadar police arrested Thakur from his shop in Prabhadevi.

According to police, Thakur has been living alone in the shop as his daughter has been married off and his son was employed in Gujrat.

Confiming the incident, deputy commissioner of police Dhanajay Kulkarni said, "We have arrested Thakur and have booked him under Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Currently, we have just one complainant in the case, but we are probing whether there are more victims of Thakur."
