Property dispute might be the motive behind the killings of six persons, three of them minors, whose bodies were found with their throats slit here, police said on Tuesday.

The bodies of 40-year-old Rukhsana and a man identified as Saad were found in Partapur area here while her four children identified as Rimsa (21) along with a 12-year-old boy and two children aged 8 were found dead in a house with their throats slit in Lisarhi area yesterday, SP (City) Om Prakash said.

In a complaint filed by Rukhsana's brother Soni, he alleged that all of them were killed by Saqib, Rukhsana's brother-in-law.

As per the premilinary investigation, dispute over property worth crores seems to be the motive behind the killings, the SP said.

Currently, Rukhsana's husband Naved alias Raju is lodged in Muzaffarnagar jail for attempting to murder his brother Saqib following which he was imprisoned, he said.

Subsequently, the woman and her children were thrown out the house. She was then helped by her friend Saad, who also assisted her and Naved over the property dispute.

According to the SP, six police teams are investigating and efforts are on to crack the case within the next 48 hours.
