50 kgs of ganja seized on Indo-Bangla border

BSF apprehended two Indian nationals from the Indo-Bangla border with 50 kgs of cannabis (ganja) and 7,000 bottles of Phensedyl.

The BSF apprehended two Indian nationals from the Indo-Bangla border in Nadia district on Thursday on whom 50 kgs of cannabis (ganja), wrapped in a plastic cover, and 7,000 bottles of Phensedyl were found. A statement issued by the BSF said that the persons identified themselves as Rajib Mandal and Shital Biswas.

The apprehended persons, along with the seized items, have been handed over to NCB for further legal action," the statement said. This year so far, BSF South Bengal Frontier has seized 485.451 kgs of Ganja and arrested six persons in this regard.
