The police have rescued five more minor girls from the Banchda community persons engaged in flesh trade, senior police official said today.

"Acting on a tip-off, we have rescued five more minorgirls from the captivity of Banchda community persons last night," Mandsaur Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr. G K Pathak told reporters here today.

A case was registered against five persons, including four women, in this regard while role of six others is being probed, he said.

So far, 29 girls were rescued from the captivity of Banchda community and nearly two dozen persons belonging to the tribe have been arrested by the police.

One of the arrested women, Kalabai told police thatshe 'purchased' an 8-9 year old girl for Rs 20,000 from a woman in Bhawani Mandi town and pushed her in flesh trade.

The minor girls used in prostitution were either purchased by the Banchda members or are lifted from various places, he said.

During interrogation, these women revealed to police that earlier they used to push their own daughters in prostitution but now are marrying them off. These women now either purchase minor girls or kidnap them for flesh trade.
